Sonora ELE Language Awareness is an online Spanish school created by teachers with a broad and long experience of teaching Spanish as a foreign language. Our professional backgrounds and our eagerness to exploit new technology that has re-defined the concept of the traditional class have inspired us to develop this project. We have designed a dynamic school that offers a personalized approach to teaching, that develops a student’s autonomy, and that guarantees efficient learning.

Thanks to the Internet, you can now attend a class virtually instead of literally, without losing any of the benefits associated with a traditional class room. Our online Spanish school provides all the necessary resources for those students who want an effective learning experience but who can’t, or don’t wish to, live in a Spanish-speaking country.

What is our method?

Classes are provided by a teacher in a virtual class room, via videoconferencing. The classes are structured around key communication goals and our method balances all of the skills that play a part in learning spanish language: oral and written expression, listening and reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary and personal interaction.

What are the classes like?

The classes take place in a virtual class room with a teacher. We use an integrated system that combines videoconferencing and a virtual blackboard on which appear all the materials intended for use in each class. All of our courses include access to an educational platform from where the student can download and archive activities, homework, puzzles, texts, evaluations and documents, all of which can be included in his or her personal ePortfolio. Some courses are complemented by a textbook. The teacher will propose a personalized study plan, with a flexible timetable, depending on the needs and availability of the student.

What do I need?

You need to be connected to the Internet, earphones or speakers, a microphone, a web camera, and a desire to learn Spanish.
